For people who have DirecTV, there are three ways to record shows, through the DVR box, via a computer and through a smartphone.

If you are out and about on a Sunday and have forgotten to record an NFL game, a computer probably won’t be in reach. DirecTV allows users to record shows via iPhone, Palm or Blackberry phones, or any phone using the Android platform, and it’s free.

Users should go to m.directv.com on their phones and download the correct version for their phone.
